Kenya and Ghana Welcome Full STEAM Forward
In Africa, we offer the identical two-year/six module curriculum as in the US, modified only where needed to make it locally relevant. We use locally sourced materials to support ease of scaling. Our hybrid teaching model, with one of our teachers on the screen and 2 local teachers in the classroom, supports the continued delivery of our high quality pedagogy while training local teaching talent for expansion.
In Partnership with Prince Dan Academy in Kajiado Town outside of Nairobi, we have a cohort of 15 girls starting our Year 2 (4th grade) curriculum!
Our 22 FSF girls, located at Ashaley Botwe Sowa DinSchool in Accra, are ready to go! Our program was soft-launched in October, 2023 and coursework will begin in January, 2024.They will be starting with our Year 1 curriculum.
"Since the official launch of the program, I have noted a significant increase in school enrollment and especially girls. I think parents are beginning to realize how FSF has contributed to making this school unique in supporting girls' empowerment. This is very important since it brings hope in a society with so many threats and barriers to the education of girls."- Isiah Matunda, Director of Prince Dan Academy
