
Jacqueline Horgan
Executive Director
​Dr. Jacqueline (Jacquie) Horgan, has over 15 years of experience creating and administering impactful STEAM programming in both in-school and out-of-school settings including the American Museum of Natural History in NYC. Jacquie joined FSF as our VP of Education in 2021 and was promoted to ED in 2026.
Jacquie has developed all of our current programming and created the girl-centric pedagogy we use in our classes. Her work is centered on the voices of youth and community members and aims to develop understandings for how out-of-school experiences shape teaching and learning experiences. She utilizes critical and ecological systems lenses in her work to ensure equitable and connected approaches.
Jacquie is a certified educator in elementary and middle school science and mathematics, and holds a PhD in Science Education from Columbia University, and a BS in Elementary Education from Penn State University.
